- Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among Canadian women.
- In 2008, an estimated 22,400 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 5,300 will die of it.
- An estimated 170 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 50 will die of it.
- On average, 431 Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer every week.
- On average, 102 Canadian women will die of breast cancer every week.
- One in 9 women is expected to develop breast cancer during her lifetime. One in 28 will die of it.

96 women competed around the clock in a friendly game of Ringette to raise funds and awareness.
Over $40,000 was raised and the funds contributed to the purchase of a Stereotactic Biopsy Table for the Women’s Health Centre in Calgary.

Women's Hockey in Talks to Join Pink Event

We are encouraging members of the Southern Alberta Women's Hockey Assoociation (SAWHA) to join our Pink event for 2009. Women supporting women! We would hold a women's hockey event as well as a Ringette event. All funds raised would go towards equipment designed to help in the fight against breast cancer.
